Not quite yet, however RTE have reported that initial estimates are 60% 40% in favour of 'Yes'. We'll hear the final results tomorrow of course so no real point speculating at this stage. The bookies today had the 'Yes' vote at very short odds...and the bookie is rarely wrong.

So, assuming the ratification, what happens next? Well, not much. Ireland is only a small piece of the puzzle. Other countries such as the U.K., Poland, and the Czech Republic must go through their own process of ratifiaction. These countries face their own issues.

So, assuming all countries ratify, what happens next? Well, I dunno. But I suspect it will have little impact on our day-to-day lives. The real acid test for Ireland will be those promises we were given re neutrality, taxation, abortion, etc. Will these remain in place? Time will tell.
